Dr. Hannah Gbenro, educator, change agent, and social justice advocate, holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership specializing in Business & The Principalship, a Master’s in Teacher Leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. As President & CEO of 21st Century Possibilities, she’s had a versatile 20-year career spanning various roles from paraeducator to chief academic officer in urban and suburban school districts across Washington and California. Recognized for her leadership in mastery-based learning and equity research, Dr. Gbenro’s accolades include awards from AERA and WERA. An experienced executive leader, she’s overseen critical programs and services from new teacher induction to regulatory compliance. Driven by advocacy and anti-racist reform, she brings her passion for making a difference to her role as a NERC board member.
