Dr. Rebecca L. Hite holds a Ph.D. in science education from North Carolina State University and is an associate professor of science, technology, and engineering education in the department of Curriculum & Instruction at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, USA. Her research foci include exploration of: individual and collective science/STEM identity formation among K-12 students with a focus on under-represented, minoritized, marginalized, and under-served populations; the cognitive and non-cognitive affordances of extended reality technologies for science and engineering teaching and learning; and the professional development of K-12 STEM master teacher leadership in policy-advocacy activities.
